Last weekend training in Slagen

Well it`s about time to do an update on last weekend`s training session!
Early saturday morning we headed for Tønsberg and one of our clubs Slagen

We had visitor form Italy Fabrizio and of course Ingar,

We had a great 2 days and got a few good sessions with our dogs.

Lone did great work with bouth Amiee and Nemus.
Amiee do show some great things in her protection phases that i for one realy like to se.
She hits hard even though we have not done mutch bitework with her yet.

but she has the eye for it and gives every thing to get her preay

Imust also say that "Nemus"gives his hart for this even at his age nothing can or will stop him when we do protection work with him.
As normal hie works steady and sound and with his brain.
Lone have done a good job with him first educating him as a S&R dog and now traind him and titeled him with VPG II on his short road to 9 Years

For my dog`s i was alsow truly happy with what they showed me of engangement on the protectionfield.
"Aik" is still a little inmature so i take it exstremely slow with him on the bitework. but he shows good signs and has a good developed switch bettwen pray/"aggression"

He had his first bite on arm this weekens and he gave everything to get a full solid bite on it :)

I did alsow have the oppertunety to do one track with "Aik" and i feel he does a good well balanced job on the field

On Aira i used my time to improve her drive in diffrent settings of guarding. and it worked fine, i do se alsow that it bennefit her in her grips and attitude thru the session so its a win win situasion!!

I also brought with me our new dog "Lara" and had no other plan other than just letting her mingle around with other people and  and lett her be a bystander on the protection field.
But when we was out ther she showed huge intrest for the bitepillow so we let her have a go for it and i must say i got BIG eyes when she went for her first bite ever. full hard and calm was her bite and im looking forward to see what i get out of her in the future :)

We had alsow the pleasure to se 2 other dogs from our breeding this weekens. And im happy to see the work the owners Thomas and Stine has put in to their dogs. Keep on the good work bouth of you!!

Another day of tracking.

Well a new fiels is FINALY open for some tracking.
Muddy dirt field but i was suppriced that it was not even more muddy.

This is 2010 2nd day of tracking so i take it a bit slowly.

Airas track was just a little over 700 phases and 3 articles. its nice to se her working, to day i feel that she was a bit to high on her nose and i whant the speed down a little. Cornes good 3 leg im not to happy with in the beginning she goes in to the leg and dropps just beside the foot prints for about 5 m then back to footprint tracking again. i must use the oppertunety to do a lot of tracks on dirt now as long as that surface is available.

Aik is just a kind of dog in tracking i realy is pleased with. he is so calm and he just works out every detail pretty good since he have not to many track`s behind him. Actualy a dog i think im going to ad speed to when the time is right.
 i use stil a good amount of hidden food in his tracks , and to day we did about 350-400 phases with 4 corners and he starts now to get a good grip on the corners.

Lara got her first track in her life today. and i se that i need to take a big job in her consentration. But for her i feel it was good

First Track 2010!!

Wow what a fuss about a little piece of grass but it was truly so great to be able to bring out my dogs and do a track before i did train them in obedience :)

I must say its nothing more sattisfying for me here in Norway to go out tracking first time for the season. We have not done a singel track since oktober!! and today 3/4-10 almoste 6 mounth later i do se my dogs almoste as they was last time. of course i use a bit more motivation on the track but i dont over do it :)

Aira did for me great!!  And i was so fxxxxx happy when she showed me her signals for this i got controle of :)
Her angels was just perfect today and  the only thing i would change today was speed but this is and have been a isue with Aira.
Aik got 150 steps corner 50 steps and it was fine alsow.his corner was a joy for me to se today. it was the last thing i worked on with him last seasson and his work at the corner was good :)

then a smaal bit of detail training in obedience together with good friends. And well i call it ok today :)

The only thing we did not have possibility to do today was bitework but soon we are on the right route there alsow.

When i came home i just went out and got hold of an ATV and of we went to the road up in the "mountain" so all the dogs ended todays training with 15 km of running besside the ATV

This i call a good day :)

This year going to be special!!!

First of all Happy birthday to my Girlfriend 2/4

We are not totaly in controle and we have some planing left to do but i think this will be a year with some major things happening at our kennel.

We are getting in some new blood lines to the kennel and the first one came home yesterday.
Due to plain luck we got Schutzholmes Lara Croft in our kennel yesterday.

Now we just wait and se what this dog will bring us in the future.

What we allready knows is that her bloodlines on her mother side is very strong with our mind sett on the HD problems .

Her "fathers father" blood line is Balou vom silberblick and i feel that this bloodline speakes for it self.


Lara will now have a few days getting arond her new enviroments and we will then start to work with her and begin the road to Working titeles!!
