What a great way to end this season :)
Aira showed her self from her best side today and we got our Champion title once again.
We had some smaal errors ofcourse but over all im verry happy with her preformance.

We do now make a plan for training against 2011, and i got some good feedback from the judge today.
Aira shows a realy good attitude in the bitework and and gets rewarded for her full grips and attitude but once again we lose points in the guarding phases!

If things work out now we get a good team together and start some training against the big Championship`s 2011

The Nordic Championship IPO All breeds

After the IFR we only had 4 days before we lefft for a new competition with Aira!
This time we was in the Norwegian All Breed team to the Nordic Championship for all breeds.

I must say its a chalange to compeet agains Mallinois and GSD but it`s great fun alsow.

To compeete against speed machines makes it even harder to make sucsess but i know that on a good  day we can make good results.
when you get out ther all the others are forgotten for a few minutes you only focus on your dog and your self to show as a good and well trained team!

I must say i liked the orgainisation of thisa event and once again i got back home with new friends and a good memmory in my mind

We did the best team from Norway this time and ended at 5TH place tottal.

Well all the people that knows me do know that im not happy happy with this place but stil im smiling and enjoying the experience

 

Lone was back in Norway to enter the Norwegian Rottweiler special with Nemus and MAX

The IFR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Hi my friends!
A shor resume of the IFR Championship is in place i think
I would first of all say thanks to all that have been attending our trainings its not possible to make any results by your own!
I`m happy alsow to say thank`s to my friends from europe that have helped me in the Protection work at semminars !
Nick Vannerom and Oliver Neubrand and ofcourse lokal helpers.

We traveled to Denmark at the 5th of september to meet up with our Danish friends and to meet some of our puppy buyers it was a pleasuer to see the dogs after Aira and Nemus again.

We meet alsow new friends during this week and its always a good feeling to meet Rottweiler friends from different countryes!
Well back yto the actual competition
I can say that im not to happy with my own preformance at the field.
I realy Fxxxx up the Obedience part.When we came to the Sit in motion i made a big mistake comanding my dog to stand. and when i understood i fucked up i was stupid enough to give a dobble comand so i lost all 10 points :(
The rest of the rutine i strugeled with getting this mistake out of my head and i brought down Aira`s intensety until we came to the retrives so instead of making atleast high SG on dowm and stand in motion we got High G And at the World Championship you cant lose these points! The retives got high SG because of Aira slightly tutching me whem she came in with the dumbell!! And ond the send out she had a realy SLOW down!
All in all 84 and G

I must say i Realy enjoyed this JUDGE He was one of the moste ecual in his judgement i have ever competed for! Strickt but ecual!

In Bite work it would take me hour`s to explain. But let me say it like this Aira was a bit Hot and Angry and pushed on the helper in all the guarding phases and she did not get a full grip on the flight. Well the only thing i dont under stand is why she did not bite full on the flight because i know that this is one of her realy strong sides.

Wel in the judgement i had a realy great Reply from the judge that i needed to lift my head again i did now know that the podium was gone for this year.
Dirk sayed to the publick under his juding critics. Do i like what i see YES!! but can i tolerate it no!!

I was then only hoping for that Aira would preform at the tracking field :) And she realy did.
We got 96 points and the second best track at the IFR.
And it was a joy alsow to be judged by this man that have several FH Worldchampionships as an judge and several ipo CH  that saved my day and week and we did end at a 9TH place .

We have already started to plan Italy 2011

Long time sice last update :)

Time has gone to fast for me :) and i just need to say im sorry for not having enough time to update more regulary!

But i will give a update now :)

First of all i would like to Congratulate WorkingWeiler`s Accelerating Arti With an great mentality test You are the first in the litter to do this test and i like what i read on the test paper`s :)

We have had an semminar with Nick Vanerom her at my place and i must say it was an inspiration for all participants at the semminar.
You  made a great solid base with our dogs :) Thanx Nick!

We looking forward to having you back now 23-25 of july!

We attended with Aira at the FCI IPO Norwegian Championship .
All that can and will go wrong did happen on this trip ;)
Friday i left home to get to the site that the Championship was hold and on the road my full food can did fell over in the car without me noticing it. well Aira looked like she was doubble pregnant when i got her out of the car ofcorce it had to fell so all the food got in to her cage in the care so she had a great food party.
We got her quick to the vetterenary and gave her medicine so she would empty her self.

Saturday morning i did decide that i would go for tracking with her and if she did not do good ther i would pull her from the competition, She was not fit i can tell you but she did good on the track so i did go for obedience to. and once again she amaced me :)

Sunday and protection work.Aira worked good and hard with alot of nice drive and agressin in the right phases ! But We missed an out! so the 3 place at the allbreeds did not get in our pocket :(
Im proud any way of Aira she is a realy special one !

Me and Lone did go for a week semminar with Oliver Neubrant in bitework and Anatomy with Gerard Oshea.
This was a great week and even mor work was done with our dogs and our young ones starts to look realy Nice!!!

Latest semminar was a semminar in Kynology and genetic`s hold by Kennel Shutzholmen.
This was a great weekend with a lot of intresting information and great discusions.

Hectic times at the Kennel!

A short update here on the blogg about whats happened at the Kennel the last mounth!Blue Herod`s Nostredamus "nemus"Was attending the Internationale Show in Kristiansand 8/5-10 and once again he got the BOB Tittle and got placed BIS 5 :) Its nice when it goes the right way!
Workingweiler`s Angel was alsow attending this Show but did not get any other than 1 price.
She is still in gowing perriod so it looks good and her critic was good !!

WorkingWeiler`s A son of Aira did his BH with Exelent ponints in his obedience part !!
Im impressed that he does so good with not so mutch training and at a age of 14 mounth :)
Now im looking forward to the semminar with Nick Vanderoom! I will give a report after the semminar!

Last weekend training in Slagen

Well it`s about time to do an update on last weekend`s training session!
Early saturday morning we headed for Tønsberg and one of our clubs Slagen

We had visitor form Italy Fabrizio and of course Ingar,

We had a great 2 days and got a few good sessions with our dogs.

Lone did great work with bouth Amiee and Nemus.
Amiee do show some great things in her protection phases that i for one realy like to se.
She hits hard even though we have not done mutch bitework with her yet.

but she has the eye for it and gives every thing to get her preay

Imust also say that "Nemus"gives his hart for this even at his age nothing can or will stop him when we do protection work with him.
As normal hie works steady and sound and with his brain.
Lone have done a good job with him first educating him as a S&R dog and now traind him and titeled him with VPG II on his short road to 9 Years

For my dog`s i was alsow truly happy with what they showed me of engangement on the protectionfield.
"Aik" is still a little inmature so i take it exstremely slow with him on the bitework. but he shows good signs and has a good developed switch bettwen pray/"aggression"

He had his first bite on arm this weekens and he gave everything to get a full solid bite on it :)

I did alsow have the oppertunety to do one track with "Aik" and i feel he does a good well balanced job on the field

On Aira i used my time to improve her drive in diffrent settings of guarding. and it worked fine, i do se alsow that it bennefit her in her grips and attitude thru the session so its a win win situasion!!

I also brought with me our new dog "Lara" and had no other plan other than just letting her mingle around with other people and  and lett her be a bystander on the protection field.
But when we was out ther she showed huge intrest for the bitepillow so we let her have a go for it and i must say i got BIG eyes when she went for her first bite ever. full hard and calm was her bite and im looking forward to see what i get out of her in the future :)

We had alsow the pleasure to se 2 other dogs from our breeding this weekens. And im happy to see the work the owners Thomas and Stine has put in to their dogs. Keep on the good work bouth of you!!

Another day of tracking.

Well a new fiels is FINALY open for some tracking.
Muddy dirt field but i was suppriced that it was not even more muddy.

This is 2010 2nd day of tracking so i take it a bit slowly.

Airas track was just a little over 700 phases and 3 articles. its nice to se her working, to day i feel that she was a bit to high on her nose and i whant the speed down a little. Cornes good 3 leg im not to happy with in the beginning she goes in to the leg and dropps just beside the foot prints for about 5 m then back to footprint tracking again. i must use the oppertunety to do a lot of tracks on dirt now as long as that surface is available.

Aik is just a kind of dog in tracking i realy is pleased with. he is so calm and he just works out every detail pretty good since he have not to many track`s behind him. Actualy a dog i think im going to ad speed to when the time is right.
 i use stil a good amount of hidden food in his tracks , and to day we did about 350-400 phases with 4 corners and he starts now to get a good grip on the corners.

Lara got her first track in her life today. and i se that i need to take a big job in her consentration. But for her i feel it was good

First Track 2010!!

Wow what a fuss about a little piece of grass but it was truly so great to be able to bring out my dogs and do a track before i did train them in obedience :)

I must say its nothing more sattisfying for me here in Norway to go out tracking first time for the season. We have not done a singel track since oktober!! and today 3/4-10 almoste 6 mounth later i do se my dogs almoste as they was last time. of course i use a bit more motivation on the track but i dont over do it :)

Aira did for me great!!  And i was so fxxxxx happy when she showed me her signals for this i got controle of :)
Her angels was just perfect today and  the only thing i would change today was speed but this is and have been a isue with Aira.
Aik got 150 steps corner 50 steps and it was fine alsow.his corner was a joy for me to se today. it was the last thing i worked on with him last seasson and his work at the corner was good :)

then a smaal bit of detail training in obedience together with good friends. And well i call it ok today :)

The only thing we did not have possibility to do today was bitework but soon we are on the right route there alsow.

When i came home i just went out and got hold of an ATV and of we went to the road up in the "mountain" so all the dogs ended todays training with 15 km of running besside the ATV

This i call a good day :)

This year going to be special!!!

First of all Happy birthday to my Girlfriend 2/4

We are not totaly in controle and we have some planing left to do but i think this will be a year with some major things happening at our kennel.

We are getting in some new blood lines to the kennel and the first one came home yesterday.
Due to plain luck we got Schutzholmes Lara Croft in our kennel yesterday.

Now we just wait and se what this dog will bring us in the future.

What we allready knows is that her bloodlines on her mother side is very strong with our mind sett on the HD problems .

Her "fathers father" blood line is Balou vom silberblick and i feel that this bloodline speakes for it self.


Lara will now have a few days getting arond her new enviroments and we will then start to work with her and begin the road to Working titeles!!

New Homepage

Today is the first day getting our new homepage Offical. And as you can se we have a bit more work to do with it but i think it will come on great!!

Even at this time off year we stil got snow and i must tell you i HATE IT!!

At this point we should be able to go out for tracking and nice dogtraining outside but not a chance for atleast 2 more weeks.

I would alsow take the oppertunety to say thanks to Purina Pro-Plan for beliving in us and suport our kennel :)
Thanks it means a lot to us :)

Sice last update we have been a short trip to Sweeden to give a Workshop for Kulla Gullas kennel.

A great time we had ther with mostely dogs new to the sport and alsow handlers that was new to the IPO sport.

They all showed dogs and handlers a good commitment to the sport and athey was eager to learn about the sport:)
For me this is wourth a lot, and it gives me as an instructor a lot of motivation back :)

We did on satturday evening play some dogs Doubble and it woks out great for some individs!
I do belive that some realy do bennefitt from this kind of training and that it make the dogs go a little bit futher to get ther prey :)
But ofcourse its nothing you just do without having a thougth behind it :)

A hot update on what`s happening!!

Hi again my friends,
Well im not the best to update my page thats for shure

But any way here i a little new information.

Since december we have had focus on getting our dogs fit and well conditioned for 2010 season, its a h.... lot of snow coming down at our place so long hard fysical trips for our dogs in the snow is a good way to make them fit!
Bouth Aik and Amiee is now under their first stages of obedience training and i`m happy with their progress in this.

Yestarday we had 2010 first Norwegian Kennel Club Show and we entered with Aik, Amiee and Nemus

Aik and Amiee got bouth good critics from the judge and got ther 1 place ratings and this at 11 mouth so we are happy with that. they are not finished in development so time will show how they we be in the end. but we do think that they have a good grond to grow on and the judge did say that she found them very promising for the show ring!!

Nemus did make it once again!!!
He do show hims self from the best side and gives all of his energy in the runningin the ring he stands good and gets his great feed back from the judge!

Hen ends at 3BTH and gets BIM(best in opposit gender)!!
Next time we make Best of breed!!
The judge made it clear to all participants that he got the beat head of the show and that he should be looked out for in the following shows.
The female that beat him in the end was a realy great female and losing the BOB title to them is ok !
In hard competition its ok to do so!

Well as you all know im not a show dog man but i realy enjoy the show`s more now than before
Meeting other breeders looking at the diffrent constructions of the dog`s i feel gives me more and more knowlege !!
And i have to say that i do need to make shure that i make the best posible construction on my dogs so their hardworking life will be as good as possible.

The construction part i feel i learn mostly from beeing at ahows and attending with our own !!

And hey!! For the first time ever i was handling my own dog in the Ring!!
I do have a long way to go to be a good handler in the show ring but im learning every time  and i feel that this is something im not going to rush but take step by step .
But my main thing is and will be the Working side!!

Lone did show Amiee to good results and im proud of them bouth!!!
